Southwell Library
The Bramley Centre, King St, Southwell NG25 0EH, UKAbout
Welcome to Southwell Library! Situated in the heart of Southwell on King Street, we are a friendly team always happy to help. Our library is a vibrant community hub where there is always something happening. For children, we host weekly Rattle, Rhyme and Roll Sessions on Monday mornings, and Storytime Hullaballoo every Tuesday, along with a creative Lego Club every Friday and Saturday.
For adults, we offer a diverse range of evening events, from Jazz and Blues to Classical and Rock concerts, as well as plays, readings, and author visits. Our regular Open Mic nights provide a welcoming space for budding authors to share their poetry, prose, and scripts with a receptive audience. We believe in fostering creativity and community engagement through our events.
In addition to our events, we have several rooms available for hire, accommodating groups of all sizes, from small counselling sessions to larger gatherings. Our large coffee area is perfect for meeting friends, enjoying a cup of coffee or hot chocolate for just £1, or simply relaxing with one of our daily newspapers or magazines. We also take pride in our excellent Local History Collection, featuring books, maps, and photographs that celebrate Southwell and its surrounding villages.
We look forward to welcoming you very soon! Don’t forget to check out our Facebook page @InspireSouthwellLibrary to stay updated on all the exciting happenings at Southwell Library.
