Sherwood Archers is a welcoming archery club located on the outskirts of Southwell, where members can enjoy shooting in their very own field. This unique setup allows for daily access to the shooting area, ensuring that enthusiasts can practice whenever they wish, barring competitions. The club holds regular sessions on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings, with qualified coaches available to provide guidance and support.

The club prides itself on fostering a friendly atmosphere and offers a variety of activities for archers of all skill levels. From beginners courses during the summer to individual tuition, Sherwood Archers is dedicated to helping newcomers get started in the sport. They also provide a subsidised Bow Rental scheme, making it easier for individuals to dive into archery without the burden of high initial costs.

In addition to regular shooting, Sherwood Archers hosts a range of events including monthly scored rounds, clout shoots, and both indoor and outdoor Club Championships. The club is also part of Archery GB's Ontarget Programme, which emphasizes inclusivity and skill development.
